Above the Ashen Sky - Original

Original Acrylic Painting

The Story

Above the Ashen Sky was inspired by the darker side of the fantasy worlds I love - where enormous creatures rule the skies, soaring through a sky caught somewhere between the golden light and gathering darkness.

I wanted the sky to feel almost alive. With layers of ash clouds, smoke and fading light surround the silhouette of a Wyvern in flight, creating that fleeting moment where darkness and light seem to collide.

Part of the Enchanted Portals collection, this piece is my own interpretation of another world - imagined through the fantasy stories I've read, the places they've taken me and the worlds they've inspired me to create.

A portal into a world suspended between stillness and storm.
