Refund policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
Last updated: September 2026
I hope you love your artwork from The Endless Canvas. However, if something isn't right, the following policy explains your cancellation, return and refund options.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
Changing Your Mind
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel an eligible order without giving a reason.
You must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order.
After notifying us, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
To request a return, email hello@theendlesscanvas.art with your:
-
Name
-
Order number
-
Item you wish to return
-
Confirmation that you wish to cancel or return the order
We will then provide the appropriate return instructions and return address.
Please do not send a return without contacting us first, as this helps us identify and process your return correctly.
Return Postage
For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.
We strongly recommend using a suitably protective, tracked and insured postal service, particularly when returning original artwork or higher-value pieces.
The customer remains responsible for returning the goods to us, subject to their statutory rights.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please see the relevant section below, as different rules apply.
Returning Artwork Safely
Returned items should be packaged carefully and, where reasonably possible, returned using their original protective packaging.
Customers may inspect an item in the same way they reasonably could in a physical shop.
If an item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics or appearance and this results in a reduction in its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
Original Artwork
Original artwork purchased as a standard product through the website is eligible for the usual online cancellation rights unless a legal exception applies.
Because original artworks are unique and can be high-value, please package any return carefully and consider using a tracked and appropriately insured service.
Fine Art Prints
Standard fine-art prints and giclée prints purchased from the sizes or options normally offered through the website are covered by the usual online cancellation rights.
The fact that a print is produced or prepared following an order does not automatically make it a personalised or custom-made product.
Commissions and Personalised Artwork
Artwork created specifically to your personal requirements — for example, a bespoke commission, personalised painting or other genuinely custom-made piece — is not normally eligible for cancellation or return simply because you change your mind once the agreement falls within the custom-made or personalised goods exception.
This will be made clear before a commissioned order is placed.
This does not affect your rights if commissioned artwork is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your statutory consumer rights.
Any additional cancellation arrangements applying during the commissioning process will be explained in the commission terms agreed before work begins.
Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described or you receive the wrong item, please contact hello@theendlesscanvas.art as soon as reasonably possible.
Please include your order number and, where possible, photographs showing the issue and any damaged packaging.
We will assess the problem and arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, repair or refund depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights.
Where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, you will not be required to bear return costs where the law makes those costs our responsibility.
Asking customers to contact us promptly or provide photographs helps us resolve shipping issues but does not remove or reduce their statutory rights.
Refunds
Once an eligible return has been received, or where applicable once you have provided evidence that it has been sent back, we will process the refund without undue delay and within the timeframe required by law.
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
For a valid cancellation of an eligible online order, the refund will include:
-
The purchase price of the returned goods; and
-
The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option originally available for the order, where applicable.
If you chose a more expensive delivery method, such as express shipping, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the standard delivery cost.
Your original payment provider may take additional time to display the refund after it has been processed.
International Returns
International customers should contact us before returning an item so that we can provide the correct return instructions.
For change-of-mind returns, international return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Customs duties, import taxes or other charges paid directly by the customer to their country's customs authority, postal operator or courier are separate from payments made to The Endless Canvas and cannot normally be refunded by us.
Customers outside the UK may also have additional mandatory consumer rights under the laws of their country. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Exchanges
We do not currently operate a standard exchange service.
For eligible items, the simplest option is normally to return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a new order for the item you would prefer.
This does not affect your rights in relation to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.
Order Cancellations Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@theendlesscanvas.art
If we are able to stop the order before dispatch, we will process the cancellation accordingly.
For personalised or commissioned artwork, cancellation rights may differ once bespoke work has begun, as explained in the commission terms supplied before purchase.
