The Story

Autumnal Reverie was inspired by one of my favourite places to return to - Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales.

Visiting here every year has become a core memory for me, but there is something particularly special about seeing it in autumn. That moment when summer begins to disappear, the leaves slowly turn from green to gold and rust, and the landscape starts to take on an entirely different feeling.

I wanted to capture that transition in this piece - the winding blue of the River Wharfe surrounded by woodland caught somewhere between seasons, with the first signs of autumn beginning to appear amongst the trees.

Part of the Wanderer’s Portals collection, this piece is inspired by a real place I've travelled to, painted not as a perfect representation of the place, but as the feeling and memories it left with me.

A portal back to a place I return to, and a season I never want to leave.

Created from my original painting, each Fine Art Giclée Print is produced using archival-quality inks on Hahnemühle fine art paper, chosen to beautifully capture the colour, texture and detail of the original artwork.

Each print is hand signed by me before making its way to its new home.
